Hi there All
Things are pretty quiet on this forum. Come on you lot, start the ball rolling by putting your fingers to your keyboards.
What rallies / events have you been to lately. Have you any pictures of yourselves with your instruments. If so - lets see them!
Cheers

I keep trying to get someone to post something. We had a bit of a burst of activity last week, but then it dried up...Maybe its the hot weather!
Unfortunately, the default version of the forum software doesn't have a 'photo posting' facility as standard. However there are some 3rd party modifications available, which I am working on. I will announce it in the updates section of the 'Organ Alley' forum, once I have figured it out.
Regards,
Dave |

Hi there Dave
I am afraid you have to post your pics on another host website, then call them in with the IMG box
rather like this. For those that do not know me, this is my own Dutch Street Organ, or rather it was - until it grew somewhat.
This is its present size, now having side cases with trombones. Another two ranks of counter melody cellos are going to be fitted as well.
The way the organ is laid out, it is a 120 key instrument. Definately a quart in a pint pot!
Cheers

Hi Peter.
Yes, but the problem with the [IMG] trick is that it can 'break' the layout of the page...Your piccies have made the forum slightly exceed its 800 Pixel width.
Not that it is a problem, but if someone linked to a huge image...I really don't know what would happen - I may try it and see!
I fixed the width at 800px because that is the average for most 'pre-XP' browsers - 800 by 600. In actual fact the forum could automatically set itself to the browser's width. Another tweak I may implement!
Anyway it is nice to see some images on the forum, so thanks for that.
Regards, Dave |

So Peter these are the Trombones. I have seen them being made, saw them bweing fitted, but haven't heard or seen them in the completed side cases. I think its about time you released a proper CD! |
